1970 Chevelle SS 454. I already know what the first question will be... do you have a build sheet or documentation? No I do not. Now on to the car. It's got a 1970 LS5 crate engine , the code on the pad at the front of the block is CE065976. The casting number is 3963512 with a casting date of H-20-9. It's standard bore with fresh rings, bearings, gaskets, crank has been turned .010 on the mains and .020 on the rods. The crank is cast as are the pistons. The rods are stock 3/8 rod bolt style rods. The heads are 1970 oval ports casting number 3964290 with casting dates of J-8-9 and J-10-9. They are stock with 3/8 push rods and Comp Cams roller tip rocker arms. The cam is a Isky Mega cam, it's a hydralic but not sure of the specs. It's lopes at idle and smooths right out when you hit the gas. This Car was built in arlington texas on may 5th.The car is originally from texas.A gentleman from NewJersey bought the car from the original owner and i bought the car from him. so i am the 3rd owner. ok some history of the car, The engine is the original 396. it was rebuilt about 1200 miles ago im told from previous owner. the motor runs perfect. her are your engine numbers. head # TO505C,10R241357,Block# 3969854-T = 396-350HP.This car was an automatic on the column when i bought it. I removed the automatic and installed a 4 speed. Now it has a new rebuilt muncie m-21 close ratio 4 speed with new hurst competition shifter and all hurst linkages.Also has brand new 11inch perfection clutch pressure plate throw out bearing and fork, also new flywheel and bellhousing.I left the automatic column in the car if someone wanted to go back to an automatic. after driving it dont think so.The rear differential is 411 12 bolt posi traction. This is the rear tube housing # CCW1050B1. The previous owner said that both rear lower quarter panels have been done and 2 new door skins done . The car has no rust on the body at all.I dont know how long ago it was done . the paint is nice as you can see from the pictures. the color is cortrez silver with the black ss stripe package.It has a black vinyl top which is in perfect condition. The interior is all black vinyl. Car has split bench seat ,headliner is in perfect condition, the interior is really nice. here are your trim # TR 755= vinyl top paint code 14B= cortez silver with black SS stripe package. F41 SUSPENSION..The frame and all pans are very solid as well as the trunk. Rims are original 14 by 7 inch .The original spare rim is in the trunk which matches the car. I have brand new dash pad and dash carrier and gauge lens. .Car needs new emergency brake pedal, windshield washer pump. the horn does not work but have the new horn kit for it. needs a couple of dash bulbs. other than that good to go. Note have a set of bucket seats that go with the car. seats are from a1970 but need to be redone. the frames alone are hard to find. one more thing the engine has a brand new 600 edelbrock carb and also has HEI ignition. car also has new brakes all the way around, . Here is what i have done & things to do. Frame has been media blasted and painted and body sat back on with new bushings. It has new half quarters installed but need finish blocking. The 12 bolt rearend is original with a posi unit,F41 suspension(original) sway bars front and back. I have the original numbers matching 400 tranny(T-400),I DO NOT have the motor for this car.....also has its original boxed in control arms...Round original SS gauges,also have all the interior ,but it is pretty much shot. The car was originally red with white vinly top and red interior. Its a bench seat car with column shift. The car does have its original front disc brakes and heavy duty suspension, with original rims. I pretty much have all parts except front and rear glass and the front bumper. I do have the fenders/core support/hood..etc.., (pretty much i have the entire parts for it)--not shown in pic ..THIS IS A RUST FREE CAR....What needs to be done concerning metal work is patch panels on the floors and patch on the trunk.
